In 2008, two fitness instructors (one from Canada and the other from England) met while working on board a Carnival Cruise Line ship. They became friends and later shared their dream of making movies.

After their contracts with the company ended and lengthy discussions about their futures, they decided to go for it and make a feature film. Dominique Adams wrote a twisted love story that could be produced on a micro-budget and invested his life savings. Tom Broadwell borrowed money from his father to co-produce the film and then starred in the lead role.

‘Twisted Seduction’ was filmed in Montreal, Canada with the help of UQAM (L’Université du Québec à Montréal) film students on a $ 30,000 budget. The film was shot in 10 days, using high quality cameras (4K RED HD), so that it could meet theatrical release standards. It premiered in the summer of 2010 at the 14th Annual Fantasia International Film Festival, in Montreal, Canada.

The passionate filmmakers dream was for the film to be released into theaters. But more than anything, the two former trainers wanted people to see and experience their film.

Without industry connections or even an agent, making it to the big screen is quite a hard task. It’s useless to have our movie in the cutting room unreleased, and we don’t like the idea of charging a viewing fee and profiting from the few loyal fans we have. That is why we are offering it free of charge.

Ironically, we’re actually spending money for people to watch our film, with the hosting and streaming fees, not to mention the 30K production costs. But if many people enjoy our little flick and pass the word around over time, it might give us an opportunity to make more films, which is what we ultimately want. says Broadwell.

I’ve written several other screenplays ranging from sci-fi and fantasy stories to adult comedies and romance. So hopefully, ‘Twisted Seduction’ helps us by getting our foot in the door. says Adams.

‘Twisted Seduction’ tells the story of a young British mathematician (Tom Broadwell) who locks himself up in an industrial loft with an attractive sales executive (Caroline Brassard) who was analyzed and selected based on 78 dimensions of compatibility. He is convinced that he can make her fall in love with him by following strategic psychological steps and using well planned charm, despite the fact that he is holding her against her will.

Obviously, our film does not rely on special effects but only on the interactions of two characters. It’s an original little twisted love story that people should watch when they’re bored with nothing else to do, so they have a chance to get into the characters, allowing the story to progress from a slow beginning to a charming story with an unexpected ending. says Adams, who also directed and edited the film.

‘Twisted Seduction’ will be released exclusively on their official movie site on March 29th, 2012 (it will not be offered in HD to avoid slow streaming.) In order to avoid third party web sites charging viewers, the film will not be downloadable nor embeddable, as the first time filmmakers wish to keep it 100% free.

Another interesting possibility would be to have this film produced as a remake. It has several plots at the end, which left audiences stunned at Fantasia. I could see Bradley Cooper kidnapping Angelina Jolie in that role. Two A-listers taking over the Box Office with a low budget wicked love story. I’d pay money to see that. concludes Adams.

As with most every mariachi group, the band plays all the traditional instruments that are part of this genre of music including the violin, the trumpet, the classical guitar, the vihuela (a high-pitched five-string guitar) and the guitarron (a large acoustic bass guitar.)

Mariachi music is a genre of music that started in the State of Jalisco, Mexico. The music is amalgamation of stringed instruments highly impacted by the cultural and historical growth of the western part of Mexico. Mariachi bands have integrated different types of brass, wind and percussion instruments during the development of this music genre and they continue to do so today. Mariachi musicians often dress in charro oufits, which are ornamented with silver studs, and they almost always wear wide-brimmed sombrero hats. Originally Mariachis from Mexico were street musicians, but these days they are mostly professional entertainers who perform at weddings and other events as well as in movies. Most Mariachi band members can play many instruments and they all can sing.
